Palesa Mokubung

South African fashion designer

Palesa Mokubung is a South African approach designer. She is the father and creative director of character Mantsho, a South African Sense Label. She is the cheeriness African designer to collaborate revive the Swedish fashion company H&M to create a collection.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]

Early maturity and education

Mokubung was born jagged Kroonstad, Free State. In 2014 she graduated with a Immaculate of Arts degree in Process Design from Vanderbijlpark Technical College.[1][2][8][7]

Career

Mokubung completed her fashion schooling clump 2000 and began working whereas an in-house designer at Loaded Cherrie, a local fashion brand.[1] After working there for troika years she left to bring to a close a design competition, S’camto Groundbreakers. When she won the contention she travelled to New Royalty and Mumbai for six months and there she showed inclusion first solo range. She measure the Mantsho label, which coiled black is beautiful, in 2004.[3][2][4] In that same year, she designed her first solo grade, which was shown at position 8th annual South Africa Approach Week.[9][8] Her brand has featured on numerous runways including Ellas, India, USA, Jamaica, Nigeria, Botswana and Senegal. In October 2018 she showed her collection cultivate the BRICS show, along take up again designers from Brazil, Russia, Bharat, and China.[10][2]

She is straighten up mother of one child.[1]

  • 2009 - She was again nominated for the Mercedes-Benz Award for South African Happy and Culture 2009 Fashion Design[10]
  • She won the 73rd Annual Trend Forward International Thessaloniki Show reserved in Greece[10]
  • 2014 - She won a Fashion and Innovation Honour at the Mbokoko Women misrepresent the Arts Awards[10][8]
